My husband is an avid gardener. Flowers of every genus and species adorn the landscape around our home. So, it’s not surprising that he wanted to visit the San Antonio Botanical Gardens during our time here.

Unfortunately, most of the beauty of these gardens was dormant during this time of year. And the day that we visited was rainy. Still, as you can see, my husband captured some wonderful photos of this beautifully cultivated place.

Workers diligently covered plants as we toured because a hard freeze was in the forecast. Still, the photos share the unique landscape and winding paths. I’ll let them tell the story.

Despite the rain, we enjoyed our walk through the gardens, especially the area that shared conservation tips. Model homes with water conservation ideas built in. A glimpse into what the future could be with a little ingenuity that could save the environment.

If you happen to be a member of the botanical gardens at home, you might be surprised that there is a reciprocal agreement with it. We had free entry because we were members of the Lauritzen Gardens at home.

It’s worth your time to visit when you’re in this neck of the woods, my friends. Love is All when the flowers bloom!
