LOVE IS ALL - Publication Day

On August 11, 2025, my lifelong dream of becoming a published author came true. It was not an overnight success. The journey toward this novel’s publication began in my twenties, when I first wanted to write a book in memory of my mother, who passed away at just 52 after a nearly fourteen-year battle with cancer.
She never had the chance to live her dreams. Through this story, I have tried to give her that opportunity through imagination, love, and words. The name is the same, but spelled with a "y," and the soft black curls and physique are hers. While Jayne, the main character, makes her own choices and follows her own path, she also travels to the places my mother had longed to visit. In this way, my mother’s spirit walks beside her.
The love of chocolate and Robert Browning are my own touches.
Today, my son shares that he remembers me in my late twenties saying, “I’m going to write a book for my mother someday.” My daughter tells me she is proud. My husband has been steady in his support and love through every chapter of our lives together.
My heart is full, overflowing with gratitude for dreams realized and memories honored.
Thank you to Leigh Ebberwein, editor and publisher at Old Fort Press, for believing in this novel and in me.
Tomorrow – the official book launch to celebrate!
